In Michigan's Thumb, the rural communities that grow sugarbeets and work the fields are protected by the volunteer firefighters who live right among them.
Yesterday I had the honor of documenting that intersection at Sherman Township Fire Department, thanks to Betaseed North America through their Operation HEAT program.

At the end of each year, I close out my Lightroom catalogs and start new ones.
It’s part housekeeping, part reflection.
These are just a handful of frames from 2025 that reminded me why I do this — people living their lives, loving one another, and finding beauty and meaning in the everyday moments in between.
Grateful for every story I was trusted with this year. Onward. 🤍
