Six Babies In Four Years: Mother Celebrates Life With Three Sets Of Twins Motherhood has been a tumultuous journey for Kristie Stolly who suffered from septic shock after giving birth the first time to extremely premature babies.
Today is World TTTS Awareness day. Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome effects identical babies who share a placenta. While a very big problem to have thankfully it can be easily detected and is treatable. Check out the TTTS Foundation’s Facebook site below for more info about TTTS.

Zygosity.
Such a strange word but something you will be asked about all the time if you have twins. They may not realize it but people will constantly ask about your twins' zygosity: are they identical or fraternal?
Zygosity is all about whether your twins started as two fertilized (fraternal) eggs or one (identical). While it is fun to know what the zygosity of your twins is, it can also be important to your pregnancy care. There are some extra steps to take in your care if you twins are monozygotic (identical) as they are more likely to share a placenta or even an amniotic sack.

Expecting Multiples
Expecting Multiples in Southwest Michigan is a class designed to help educate parents who are expecting twins, triplets, quads or more. This class started as a passion project of some of the members of GKMOM (Greater Kalamazoo Mothers of Multiples). These ladies saw a need in the community to host a class where parents could come to get information, advice and talk to others who are further along in the journey of raising multiples. This class is not a substitution for medical advice and should not be taken as such. The goal is to provide prospective and new parents with real life advice based on the experiences of others who have been in the trenches.
Please come join us on the second Saturday of every even month to gain an overview of life with multiples, some more in depth discussion on topics concerning multiples and a question and answer panel made up of parents who have twins or triplets.
