We're raising 5 kids on 5 pretty acres in TX. Also 3 dogs, a cat, 3 horses, 12 chickens, and a duck named Yappers. We're a little crunchy? Life is good!
It's our home . . . that we enjoy sharing with family and friends! A little over 5 acres, just south of Justin, TX, that still needs a little work. We've got horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and ducks - and most of them are rescues. Well, the first shenanigan isn’t even the pups fault.
We changed his name to Jasper.
Turns out, when people get to laughing and calling the dog, “Axel” starts to sound suspiciously like “A$$h***”.
So, say hello to Jasper!

I’ll spare everyone the details, but this is Axel the day he & his 3 brothers were rescued. He will probably always have a scar, and when his hackles go up, the fur around the scar stays flat - so he gets a tuft by his shoulders and by his hips and that’s it. We think he’s perfect though ...❤️🐕

His name is Axel ... he’s a 14 week old (and 30 #?!) Shepherd/Hound mix. He’s a rescue (of course) and he’s ours.
Stay tuned. There’s bound to be puppy shenanigans.

Miss Laura is a busy kiddo - so I'm raising my own chicks this year!
Lucy & Ethel are the Rhode Island Reds, but I'm not sure what to name the 4 Welsummers? Open to suggestions ... and so excited for those dark brown eggs!
