🧃Juice can be tough on little teeth because it contains both sugar and acid, even when it says “100% juice.” Sipping on juice throughout the day gives those sugars more time to sit on teeth and can increase the risk of cavities.

We usually recommend sticking to water between meals and saving juice for mealtime when possible. And if your child does have juice, a quick rinse with water afterward can help wash away some of that sugar and acid! 🦷

That toothbrush your child has been using since approximately Thanksgiving? 😂🪥

This is your sign to swap it out.

A good rule of thumb is every 3-4 months… or sooner if the bristles look like they’ve been through a traumatic event. Bent, flattened bristles don’t clean teeth as well, and kids can be ROUGH on toothbrushes.

New season, new toothbrush, fresh start 💚

Some kids walk in ready to chat.

Some kids walk in suspicious of every single person in the building.

Both are welcome here 😂

At Duffy Dental Ranch, we know every child is different. Our goal is to meet them where they are, help them feel comfortable, and make dental visits feel a little less scary each time.

School’s almost out, which means summer calendars are about to fill up fast ☀️🗓️

Summer is one of the easiest times to schedule dental visits without missing school, and it’s a great time to stay on top of cleanings, checkups, and treatment before the busy fall season starts.

If your child is due for a visit, we’d love to see you at the ranch this summer! 💚

Every parent has said at least one of these before a dental appointment:

“Don’t tell them how much candy you ate.”
“Please cooperate today.”
“You better open your mouth this time.”

No judgment here 😄 We’ve heard it all, and we’re just happy you’re bringing them in!

Baby teeth may be temporary, but they play a big role in your child’s health and development.

They help with:

* Eating and speaking clearly
* Holding space for adult teeth
* Building healthy habits early

That’s why caring for baby teeth is so important, even if they eventually fall out.

Small habits now can make a big difference later!

Nighttime brushing matters more than you think!

While your child sleeps, saliva slows down. That means food and bacteria sit on teeth longer, which can lead to cavities.

Brushing before bed helps clear everything away so their teeth stay protected overnight.

Even a quick brush is better than skipping it! 🪥

Brushing is only part of the story.

As soon as your child has teeth that touch, it’s time to start flossing. That’s because cavities often start between teeth where a toothbrush can’t reach.

Good news, there are floss picks made just for kids that make it much easier. 😅
