🫂What makes a family whole? Love!💖 Congratulations to Amy who finalized the adoption of her 15-year-old son, Aiden! 🎉
Amy stayed connected with Adoption Manager, Melissa, throughout her journey for guidance and support with resources related to therapy, adoption benefits, and other resources available to adoptive families.
Amy shared that Aiden proudly chose to take her last name, marking the beginning of their new chapter together. They are both thrilled to officially be a forever family!🧑🧒

Today is the final day of the Youth Symposium. Over the past few days, youth connected with new people and shared their experiences. Youth reflected on key takeaways from discussions, providing feedback on how to improve the child welfare system to better support youths’ needs.
🏆It is also Awards Day, where Outstanding Youth Council, Youth Advocate, and Staff Champion were recognized for their dedication and impact. 🚀

⭐️ Today, at the Youth Symposium we’re focused on hands-on learning, growth, and shared experiences. 👥Youth participated in workshops, like the Game of Life, getting real-life examples on managing a budget.💰
They also took part in authentic conversations about sibling relationships and peer support. It’s a chance to connect with people who share similar challenges and experiences and set goals on how to improve child welfare system for everyone.🏛️⚖️👏

We are honored to continue connecting children to forever families🧑🧑🧒🧒, providing opportunities for youth who have aged out of foster care to have 🫂 support and 📚resources as they transition into adulthood, and creating spaces for youth to use their voices to advocate for improved child welfare policies.🗣️🏛️👏
🤩Selfless Love Foundation is in 🤠River Ranch, Florida, for our first state-wide youth symposium.
We’ve rounded up 18 youth councils from across Florida and staff champions from our partner agencies. Along with team building activities, these young adults will be engaged in hands-on trainings.
👥Youth will also have discussions about sibling relationships, 🫂peer support, and the improvements they would like to see made to better support children and youth impacted by foster care.🩷
