It's been a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG time since I edited and posted some photos!

A few shots I took in Brazil back in December

It's been a LONG time (over 3 years) since I posted any photos on my DBBPhotography page. Here are some photos I have edited and not shared, but there are hundreds in the queue to be edited. I still have a ton of bird shots from Cuba, other street photography from Cuba, recent bird photos from our trip to Mexico and plenty of others. Patience....

Unfortunately, I was unable to stay out nearly as long as I would have liked, and thus the star trails are not very long. But this was the best I could do given the time that I had. If you look hard enough, you can see the family of elephants in the grass. They are blurred, because they were obviously moving during the long exposure, but at least you can still tell they are elephants. Our room for the evening was literally right behind me. We could hear the elephants all night long. It was magical.

So, I have two more shots from Africa for you guys - a Hyena and yet another Gray-Crowned Crane. (I am clearly obsessed with the gray crowned crane, but how can you not be?!)

Also, I wanted to a share a portrait that my father took of me last year. My father is the one who introduced me to photography and is much more talented than I am!

DBB Photography

David Pettee and I had a pretty magical experience a few weeks ago in the Everglades. We canoed a few miles to where 3 flamingos had been spotted earlier in the week. When we arrived at the spot, they weren't there. But about 15 minutes later we saw the 3 gorgeous birds fly in! We had incredible looks from only 30 feet away. An unforgettable experience. Oh, and to top it off, we had a 5-6 foot tarpon right next to our canoe in only 2 feet of water! More photos to come, but here are 2 for starters. www.dbbphotography.com
