Do I really need dental X-rays if nothing hurts?

It’s one of the questions we hear most often and the answer is yes.

During your exam, we can only see about 40% of each tooth. The remaining 60% is hidden beneath the gums and between your teeth, where cavities, infections, bone loss, and other concerns can develop long before you feel symptoms.

Dental X-rays allow us to detect problems early, often before they become more complex, more expensive, or more uncomfortable to treat.

At Flosswell, we use digital X-rays with minimal radiation and only recommend them when they’re clinically necessary. Our goal is always the same: helping you keep your smile healthy through prevention and early detection.
