This Memorial Day, the Fort Freedom community came together to honor those who served by placing flags at the gravesites of fallen Veterans.

A simple act of remembrance. A powerful reminder of sacrifice.

At Fort Freedom, honoring Veterans means more than remembering their service—it means continuing to fight for those still carrying the invisible weight of it.

This weekend, we remembered the fallen, stood beside one another, and recommitted ourselves to the mission of helping Veterans living with PTSD reclaim their lives.

Our 11/11 Veterans Day Celebration & Fundraiser was our strongest yet.
Freedom Baskets raised $25K+, and early totals from Operation Giveback show we’re closing in on our $500K goal — soon to be matched by the State of Florida for a potential $1M impact.

Most meaningful of all? The energy in the room — real connection, conversations, and community rallying around our Veterans’ healing.

Last week, Fort Freedom Founder Jerry Haffey, Jr. joined leaders at BNY Mellon’s NYC HQ and at the Union League of Philadelphia to speak about the invisible battles Veterans face — and the power of community, connection, and purpose in healing them.

We were honored to share the BNY panel with our friends at The Headstrong Project, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in support of Veterans’ mental wellness.
