Farming failure! A few years back I started growing tulips in crates so they wouldn’t be taking up space in the high tunnel. This has worked beautifully until now. The winter we had this year was not to be trifled with. Lesson learned. I will plant tulips in the ground in the high tunnel from here on out. So many rotten bulbs from freezing. 😭
If you paid for a Tulip Time subscription, you should have an email from me letting you know that I issued you a refund. It’s disappointing, but next year they will go in the ground and be glorious again. Just like this picture from three years ago.

Aruncus dioicus, or Goat’s Beard, caused quite a few hateful mutterings on the farm this morning. This bu**er self seeds like no one’s business and I removed 47 new plants from my front yard garden. It took about 2.5 hours and no less than 15 curse words. 🤣
There is only one Aruncus Dioicus plant near the garden, but boy it can cause some trouble.
What’s a plant in your garden that causes you to mutter?

I’m looking for a woman who I used to work with (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name) that bought dahlias from me this morning at the plant sale. She bought a bunch of cool flowers and her hands were full so she was going to come back for the dahlias but must have gotten distracted with all the other booths there and forgot to come back. If all else fails, I know where she works and will bring her plants to her next week. If this was you, please reach out to me and we’ll make arrangements to connect.

It’s finally spring in my high tunnel! Both plum trees are in full bloom and there are massive bees buzzing about. 🥰
