Huarache special coming today! For a little background, huaraches are a popular street food found all over Mexico City and beyond. They were first invented by Carmen Gomez Medina in the 1930s and were based off of a pre-Hispanic masa cake stuffed with beans called tlacoyos. They get their name based off their similar appearance to a sandal or "huarache" in Spanish.
We're serving our blue masa huaraches with beans, your choice of meat, lettuce, onions, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo!

El Taco Azteca is cooking up a new special! This week (or until sold out) we will be serving chicken tinga tostadas! Stewed chicken in adobo peppers, tomatoes, and onions on a crispy tostada, beans, topped off with onions, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. One makes a perfect snack or grab a few more to make a meal. At the Mendenhall Mall this week or until sold out!
