The Narrows Bar
Craft cocktails and fine spirits in downtown Juneau.
Tequila. Espresso liqueur. Butter, cream, spices. Casey's been perfecting this one, and it's everything you didn't know you needed.
Cafe Mon-tequila is live on our Employees Only Menu. Stop in, ask for Casey's creation, and let us know what you think.
Stuart's been playing with fire...and turmeric.
The Drunk Tangent: mezcal (duh), fresh tangerine, turmeric, muddled, shaken, and strained then topped with ginger beer.
Part of our Employees Only lineup. Available for a limited time only.

Twice a year, everyone on the team gets to develop their own signature drinkā¦and many of them go full mad scientist at home. Infused spirits. House-made syrups. Unique garnishes.
This is what happens when you let people who live and breathe cocktails just... make what they want to drink. The Employees Only menu goes live tonight and runs through early spring. Then it's gone.
Swipe to see the (unedited draft) lineup. Pending name and garnish changes....
Behind the bar at The Narrows, we're building the Employees Only lineup... a curated collection that reflects each of our bartenders' personal taste and style.
R&D isn't just about experimenting, it's about honoring our team's artistry and knowledge. And yeah... we also have a little fun.
The full lineup drops soon. Until then, watch closely.
Rumor has it that this recipe was actually developed my the boss himself, Jared. But we'll let Stuart break the rest down for you...
Cruising to Juneau this summer? We're one block from the cruise ship docks serving up Alaska's best craft cocktails.

February in Juneau. The kind of cold that makes you forget what warmth feels like, the kind of darkness that stretches longer than it should. We're deep in it now...the season where refuge isn't optional.
But here, behind the bar, we're daydreaming of a perfect summer day in Juneau.
Imagine it bottled, measured, preserved with the same precision we bring to every pour: wild Alaska blueberry syrup, made from berries Jared's mom (Pam) hand-picks each summer.
Not cultivated.
Not ordered.
Foraged from the mountainside muskeg where they grow small, intense, almost defiant in their tartness.
Pam goes out when the season allows it, when the midnight sun lingers and the berries are just right. We turn them into syrup here, in small batches, because this is what craft means to us. Not just how we shake or stir, but where we source, who we trust, what we choose to preserve.
Right now, it's not a main feature on the menu. We won't have more until she's back out there this summer, and we're okay with that. Seasonality isn't a constraint, it's a reminder that some things are worth waiting for, that some flavors belong to a specific time and place.
A drink that tastes like a memory, like the summer that feels impossibly far from here, yet we know it's right around the corner.
Shirley takes you inside a pre-Prohibition-era classic that's earned its place in cocktail history for good reason.
Equal parts gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice. The balance is everything...each ingredient pulling its weight without overpowering the others.
But the real MVP here? Green Chartreuse. Made by Carthusian monks in the French Alps using a secret blend of 130 botanicals, it's notoriously difficult to source these days. Production is intentionally limited, demand is sky-high, and we're fortunate to have it behind our bar right now.
This isn't just a cocktail. It's a lesson in restraint, technique, and respecting ingredients that have earned their legendary status. Shirley walks you through the history, the ingredients, and why this drink has survived a century of cocktail trends.
Available now at the Narrows.
