With severe weather possible over the next couple of days, now is the time to know where your safe place is located.
๐ For houses and apartments: Get to the lowest level of the building. Go to an interior room away from windows.
๐ If you are in a mobile home, you may need to leave if a tornado watch is issued and head to a safer and more sturdy building. This is to allow you time to get to a safe location before a tornado warning is issued.

Last night the Juneau Fire Dept wrapped up our annual hose testing. This testing ensures our hoses pass the NFPA regulations for safe and reliable operation of our hoses and nozzles.
A few years ago we purchased a Roll 'n Rack hose roller to help us ensure firefighter safety while rolling and moving hoses, especially LDH. This purchase was funded with fundraising money's and will decrease the chances of back injuries related to hose rolling and movement.
Good morning everyone, the Juneau Fire Department is looking to speak with anyone that has a hanger at the Dodge County Airport for training purposes. Please reach out to us on this post or pm the Fire Department page Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Today is International Firefighters Day. We recognize firefighters around the world who place themselves in harmโs way to protect lives, property, and communities.
Here in Dodge County, we are proud of the fire service professionals we work alongside. Their preparedness, teamwork, and steady presence during both routine calls and critical incidents make a real difference every day. Thank you to our Dodge County firefighters for your dedication and commitment to public safety.

Please note that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFW) will be conducting a controlled burn of around 1,200 acres out at the Horicon Marsh today (April 21, 2026), beginning at 11 a.m.
Prescribed burns are a proven land management tool that reduce invasive species, recycle nutrients, and promote the growth of native plants. Controlled burns can help to restore native upland and wetland habitats, improving biodiversity and supporting long-term ecological health.
Residents in the area may notice smoke during the burn. Please use caution if you are traveling through this area.
