An early morning trim!
This sheep(and her sister) was with unknowledgable owners for years, once rehomed the new owner quickly reached out, 8 weeks ago we did the first trim(no pics unfortunately) and today was her second trim! Based on the first 2, we should have this girl fully corrected in the next 2 trims. Her new owner has reported that her comfort and activity level has increased tremendously in just 2 trims! "Louise" is on the road to some healthy hooves!

Some corrective trims that were done today.
Just a friendly reminder that when you hire me to trim your goats' or pigs' hooves, and cat or dog nails, there is absolutely no judgment from me.
There are so many reasons people choose to hire someone for hoof/nail care:
✔️ You're busy and it's one less thing on your to-do list.
✔️ Your animals are large, strong, or difficult to handle.
✔️ You may not have the experience or confidence yet.
✔️ Physical limitations, age, injury, or health concerns make it difficult.
✔️ You simply prefer having someone else do it.
And honestly? Every one of those reasons is completely valid.
Owning livestock/pets doesn't mean you have to do every task yourself. Good animal care means making sure your animals get the care they need, whether that's done by you or with a little help.
My goal is to provide a safe, low-stress experience for both you and your animals while helping keep their feet healthy and comfortable. Whether you're a first-time goat owner, a seasoned farmer, or somewhere in between, I'm happy to help.
Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for trusting me with your animals. I appreciate every one of you! ❤️
Please to not EVER feel ashamed/embarrased to ask/hire help, that is EXACTLY why I do what I do.

Good morning to all my clients(and their amazing critters!) While most of my clients are already notified, for those that do not know yet, we are expecting a little two footed boy in November(potentially late October). I am nearing half way their and here in the next little bit my body will be affecting me slightly more.
While not too much will change this does mean a few things. For my goat clients without a stand, I will be adding a stand to my tools to minimize the distance of me getting on the ground.
The other thing that will be slightly affected, is my ability to jump in and wrangle quite as much as I have been, this just means I may need a little extra help from you amazing people on getting these goats where we need them for their trims, as we get closer I will be discussing with each one of you the plan for me taking some time off, but this hopefully will not affect to many of your scheduled trims.
With that being said, I have some openings in my Jackson/Josephine county schedule as soon as next week!
Happy memorial day from Kayla at KC trims!
We are so thankful for all who have served.

All of my clients know I love my work, and the animals I get to help.
I love educating and explaining what/why I do things.
But I also LOVE learning from clients, rather it is about goats, pigs, building fences, or.... EMUS!!! Today I got to learn all kinds of cool things about these birds. I truly believe we are have something to learn and every day is a great day for learning.

Today I had the pleasure of working on Bentley's Sanctuary small herd of current goats. The treatment and well being of these animals was amazing. If you are looking to support a non profit who loves and takes truly amazing care of the animals Bentley's would be a great way to do this.
Combining my two favorite things, rescue, and goats was such an amazing thing.

Just hopping on to say a HUGE thank you. I am very thankful for all of my established and new clients.
I am now servicing the Josephine/Jackson county area with pretty open availability.
For my Lane/Benton county clients I will be sending out messages here in the next week to get preferences on days/times as my next trip up will be 5/15-5/17!
Thank you all for entrusting me with your family, herds, and livelihood's.
