Not the night we were hoping for. Braydon’s Mini Cup would fire up, but as soon as you gave it gas, it would die. Landon’s Mid-Am started before loading into the trailer, but after unloading, it lost spark completely.

We’ll be going through the fuel system on the Mini Cup and checking the distributor on the Mid-Am to get both issues sorted out and ready to go.

We’re hoping to have Braydon racing in the Midwest Super Cup Series Presented By Lightning Light Bodies this Friday. Landon will be racing in the Mid-Am division.

Here’s how Landon’s season has gone so far:

First night out — missed qualifying and the heat race, but made it out for the feature. Started last and worked his way up to 9th place.
Second night — finished 4th in the heat race and 7th in the feature.
Last race night — picked up our first Mid-Am heat race win and our highest feature finish yet!

Friday night is just $5 per person, and kids 12 and under get in FREE!

NASCAR Mid-Am Special Night Race Recap

Let’s start with Braydon. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to race tonight due to a few issues, but we’ll have his car fully dialed in and ready for the next race in two weeks.

Now onto the Mid-Am. Landon had an off night in qualifying, ending up 12th out of 13 cars. However, in the heat race, he started on the outside pole and made a late move to capture his first Mid-Am heat race win 🏁
For the feature, he started on the inside row with two cars behind him. On the opening lap, he got caught up in a big pileup that caused some damage to the front bumper (photos attached). Despite the damage, he worked his way up through the field and finished in 4th place, turning it into a great night overall.

We’d like to thank Nelms Racing for the suggestions and help as we continue improving our car. We also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped us get the car started before the feature so we could make it out on track. The battery went bad after the heat race, and a lot of people stepped in to help us out. We’ll have that replaced before the next race.
