Mapping a Positive Future for our High School Students

Wayne County Family Connection collaboration meeting on Monday. Working together to establish our annual plan for FY13-14 and determined to make a positive difference, together!
Speaking to the Wayne Ministerial Coalition tomorrow morning. Looking forward to having breakfast with a great group of Wayne County Leaders. Topic "The Power of Positive Deviance and Gift Identification", to engage community members in using their gifts, skills and abilities to build human, leadership, community, and economic capacity. All too often we take the top down approach in trying to build capacity in any endeavor, but if the foundation is broke, the building you are trying to construct on it will not be sustainable.
The Power of Positive Deviance - find those who exhibit the behavior desired and focus on what they have done to positively deviate from the norm, engaging them and their practices in changing the culture.

Family Connection meeting was great on Monday. We are in the process of our Annual Plan for FY13-14 and we would like to know what is currently NOT being addressed in our community. What is something that needs to be addressed that no agency, organization, group, etc. is currently doing something about. You may post it here or message us. Thank you for your input!
