Jenks FFA

Our chapter president has been spending his whole summer participating in agriculture youth camps! He’s in Washington DC now for Washington Leadership Conference. He recently finished OSU Future AgEd Academy and OYLA - Oklahoma Youth Leadership Academy. We love his passion for FFA and agriculture!

Honoring the heroes who gave everything for our country. This Memorial Weekend, we were grateful to spend time volunteering at Memorial Park Cemetery, remembering and giving back in tribute to those who served.

The year is coming to an end so of course we celebrated all our achievements. It’s a year full of memories we will never forget! Congratulations to all who received an award! Thank you to all who continue to support our program! Thank you to our banquet photographer! THANK YOU ALL!!!

In downtown Tulsa the last couple days we took 35 members to Oklahoma State Convention! We had 10 different members walk across the stage (some multiple times) to receive awards. For the first time in years we also had 1 member preform in the expo hall for State Talent. We cant forget the well deserved recognition of Mr. Herschel Burrow for Honorary State Degree and Mrs. Tillinghast for Outstanding Ag Education Teacher. It’s was a busy two days but lots of fun celebrating with all of Oklahoma FFA.

We have exciting news to share regarding the addition of a fourth Agricultural Education Teacher / FFA Advisor at Jenks. We would like to congratulate Ms. Kacie Eshleman who has been selected to join the Jenks Agricultural Education program.

Today was the last of our state contest! Our kids were rockstars!

One of Ms. Shelton’s favorite things to do with her veterinary science class is take them behind the scenes of the Oklahoma City Zoo Veterinary Hospital. The staff does an amazing job of telling stories, answering questions and teaching students new things! It’s a great treat and end of the year recap over the many things they learned all year.
