Visit Jenkintown Library on Saturday, August 8th, at 3pm to meet local independent author Alessandro Reale. Learn about Alessandro’s journey to becoming a writer, his publishing process, and pick up some autographed copies of his children's books and young adult fantasy novels.

Alessandro Reale is an award-winning independent author from Glenside, Pennsylvania. After penning his first "book" at 6, he fell in love with writing and decided to keep crafting stories. Now, 30 years later, he has written and self-published 13 books, including two young-adult fantasy novels, a middle-grade chapter book, and 10 children's books for young readers. We will look at some of our favorite illustrations, learn how they were made, and then give it a try ourselves. Whether you'd like to collage like Eric Carle, sketch like Jeff Kinney, or watercolor like Helen Oxenbury, we'll try it all!
