That moment when you visit Times Square with all your classmates! Big shoutout to the staff who made the annual Jenison Junior High East Coast Trip a success once again. The students visited a number of historical sites throughout New England during the experience. Special thanks to Sam Lombardo for these amazing photos!

Can you work hard AND have a really good time in the process? At the Jenison Baseball Summer Camp, absolutely! The program hosted its annual camp on campus this week and the results were outstanding. It was so fun to watch future Wildcat Baseball players develop under the guidance of current and former players. Go Jenison Baseball!

Last night recent Jenison grad Dylan Clack was honored in downtown Detroit by Positive Athlete Great Lakes Region as Michigan’s Boys Positive Athlete of the Year for Basketball! The festivities kicked off with a special ceremony at Little Caesars Arena where Clack received a certificate and giant check in front of a packed crowd. Then before the Detroit Tigers game he and the rest of the Michigan honorees were recognized on the field, even posing with a Tigers player. Family, friends, and JPS staff joined him in the stadium to celebrate the incredible honor and watch the game. Congratulations Dylan and thank you for all your positive contributions to JPS!

Congratulations to the four members of our boys volleyball team who made all-conference! Gavin Rus, Quinn Cochran, Roman Russo, and Jack Merren helped the team finish 30-5–1 overall. They were ranked No. 2 in the state at the end of the regular season. Cochran also was a finalist for Mr. Volleyball, the award for the top boys volleyball player in the state. Incredible season, boys volleyball!

Last week 32 Jenison students and alumni spent four days and three nights serving as counselors at Camp Sunshine - Michigan, a camp experience dedicated to teenagers and adults with intellectual disabilities! It was a week full of singing, crafting, horseback riding, tubing, and endless laughter, according to Jenison High School Teacher Stacey VanLaan.

"Through every activity, these leaders showed incredible love, care, empathy, and grace, coming home with a beautiful glimpse of what true inclusion and lifelong friendship look like," she said. "So proud of this group for making a difference!" Awesome work Jenison students and alumni!

The sixth annual Thespians of Tomorrow Kids Camp took place at the Jenison Center for the Arts this week and was once again a smashing success! High school theater students led workshops for elementary students about singing, acting, dancing, improv, tech, props, makeup, costumes and so much more. We dropped by the workshop practicing “It’s The Hard-Knock Life” dance routine on the big stage and were amazed by the talent displayed this morning. Incredible work Jenison Theater Program!

Congratulations to Kendal Muir, Kylie Coffey, and Adelynn Brown for receiving All-State Tournament honors after winning the girls water polo state championship on Saturday!

Brown was named the All-State Tournament 2026 MVP. Brown and Coffey both were selected to the All-State Tournament 2026 First Team, while Muir was named to the All-State Tournament 2026 Second Team.

For the season, Coffey was named to the All-State 2026 First Team and Brown was named to the All-State 2026 Second Team.

What an incredible season, girls water polo!

Last week our Arietta Choir, comprised of 7th grade girls from Jenison Junior High, performed at Waterford Place Retirement Community in Jenison! The residents were hanging on every note and the girls performed so well. There also were a number of outstanding solos throughout the event. At the end, the choir recognized veterans in the crowd by singing each branch of the military's song. Way to give back to the community, Arietta Choir!
