It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the beloved matriarch of our bakery family, Ida Korf.

She immigrated to this country from the Netherlands with her family as a child. She would find her passion for baking and decorating as she worked and learned alongside her father.

In 1981 she decided to believe in herself and her passion for her craft, as well as carry on the legacy of her father and she opened this little Shoppe that bares her name.

Since then she has shared her knowledge, dedication and love with many, many people who have worked here and became like family as well as the community she loved so much.

We will do our very best to make you proud and carry on your legacy of warmth, kindness and dedication to this bakery and this community.

Thank you, Ida Korf for everything! You will always remain the sweet center of this Shoppe and our hearts.

Go rest easy now, you've definitely earned it!
