Gray Gardens

Finally! All of our annuals are sold and the greenhouse now has room for all these beautiful flowers. We are trying so many new varieties this year!

Putting together an order for a Michigan flower farmer that needed some supplemental plants.

Anyone who hasn't tried Mrs. Burns Lemon Basil needs to get it NOW Everyone who smells it just pauses and closes their eyes and then continues to inhale until they remember I'm still standing there 😬. That citrusy fresh scent is incredible. We grew about 30 plants this year as filler, and I am doubling it. Can't get enough!!.

We had a big storm blow through last night and knocked over some corn stalks. Corn on the cob for lunch!

Beautiful whites. Not amazing but themselves, but when you put them together 😍😍😍

Curing onions! We grew them last year but ate them quickly and learned we needed to plant WAY more this year. I still don't think it's enough...

Planning for next year. We have learned So Much this season! Our notebooks are packed with scribbles and our garden books bursting with sticky notes. I am expanding the varieties of Zinnias that I will be growing after finding some unique varieties. This is a snapshot of just the annual flowers that we will be growing next year 🤞.

I cut all the random flowers in my 4 year old's garden bed to help keep them blooming. In this old vase, they look elegant!

Dahlias. I think I'm in love!

Almost ready!! They will lose their heat when they ripen to red. Filius Blue Pepper.

Cosmos Rubenza. I've grown these beauties for 3 years now. I LOVE them! They just waft and float, and their foilage is unique.
