Rev. Dr. Bailey-Gwinn is a pastor, chaplain, and nationally recognized voice at the intersection of faith and community health. As Founder & CEO of Foundations for Living, her work equips faith leaders to confront HIV stigma, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and more, through education, advocacy, and action.
With over 24 years of ministry and honors including Howard University’s Stigma Warrior Award and the AmeriCorps Lifetime Achievement Award, she brings a word rooted in purpose, presence, and power.

Dr. Sande Bailey-Gwinn, Foundations For Living for your Women's History Month. The theme of her message was, " Who is going to advocate for Black Woman's Faith and Health!
Foundations For Living has successfully wrapped up its transformative three-year Health and Wellness Initiative, equipping individuals with the tools and confidence to take charge of their well-being through comprehensive HIV prevention, mental health support, and faith-based guidance. Mrs. Sandra's unwavering dedication, driven by her personal connection to the cause as a parent of a child living with HIV, is a testament to the initiative's profound impact. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to GILEAD Pharmaceutical and the PACE Grant for their invaluable support in bringing this life-changing initiative to fruition.

Family, Foundations For Living is head to Cleveland, MS for the Help Me Help You: We Rise N.O.W., Foundation for Living & FABRIC's third and final women’s health gathering, designed as a tea-party styled luncheon rooted in care, conversation, and community.
This gathering is especially meaningful for women who value thoughtful conversation, collective care, and community. Whether you attend with friends or come on your own, you will be welcomed at the table.

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 HIV & Faith Ambassadors Cohort through the Faith COMPASS Center at Wake Forest University School of Divinity.
This cohort brings together faith leaders, advocates, and practitioners to engage in meaningful learning at the intersection of theology and public health.
From June to October, participants will take part in:
• Faith & public health integration
• Critical theological reflection
• Collaborative research and writing
• Training for advocacy and education
Participants receive a stipend.
