Golden rule for your wedding checklist 🌟🔑💛

✨Make your own✨

Use the free online ones as a template, but understand that the months in which the tasks need to be completed are a little arbitrary🤫

You are right on time!👏💍

Just because it’s tradition doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own.

What was your something blue when you got married?💍💙🦋

Don’t wait until the week of, or the day before, to send your vendor confirmation email.

I always recommend two weeks out instead! That way if something comes up that you weren’t anticipating, you have time to handle it instead of scrambling at the last second.

Use the template in this post as your base, then add a few extra lines depending on who you’re emailing:

🎻for DJ or Strings: confirm what you’re providing (extension cords, tablecloths, etc.) vs what they’re bringing themselves.

🍝 for Caterers: ask if they’re bringing leftover containers, and confirm who’s in charge of putting leftovers away. Attach your full day-of timeline.

💄for Hair and Makeup: confirm how they’d like to be paid so you can pass that along to your bridal party.

Save this now so you have it when you need it.🕊️🥰

You know how to budget in real life but then you think about your wedding and you’re like…wait, WHAT?🤯

Try starting the same way you would any other budget…with ✨conversation✨

1️⃣ Between you and your partner, pick your top 3 (minimum) vendor priorities.

The things that matter MOST to you.

2️⃣ Then, get a real quote for each of those vendors.

3️⃣ Now look up the average numbers (based on your city) for all other vendors.

4️⃣ Add up your top 3 quotes with the averages to get your ballpark number give or take.

BONUS to get even more accurate, a good rule of thumb is to add an extra 8-10% on top of your total for things no one really warns you about (service charges, tips, tax, alterations, and more).

If you never name your big rocks, ❌ every vendor will feel equally important, ❌ every quote will feel too high, and ❌ you will end up spending way outside your budget.

So make sure you have the conversation✨💍🤍

Special morning tip every bride should follow ↓

Your wedding morning moves fast, for REAL.

You think starting at 7 or 8am is early and then next thing you know it’s time to walk down the aisle 😅

People will tell you “be present” and “take it all in.” But when every nook and cranny of the timeline is you doing or being a part of something, the time flies and you’re left wondering where the day went.

SO what I tell all my brides is to pencil in 5 minutes alone right before it’s time to put on your dress.

At first they look at me a little silly, but it’s when you’re alone for those few minutes that you’re able to ground yourself in all the emotions you’re feeling. The excitement, the nerves, the overwhelming joy that brings little happy tears to your eyes.

Those are the feelings you want to look back on and remember taking the time to feel. 🤍
