Summer Jump Start had a splashing good time at the pond! Our young learners explored the fascinating world of dragonflies and discovered many of the living things that call the pond home. Hands-on learning in nature helps bring science to life, and we are so grateful to have such a beautiful outdoor space for our JCS students to explore and enjoy! 🌞🐸🦋

🎭✨ Alliance Theatre Comes to Summer Jump Start! ✨🎭

A big thank you to our guest puppeteer, Tafee Patterson, for bringing puppets, props, and fun to our classrooms! Students learned an important lesson about perseverance—that when we keep trying and give our best, amazing things can happen. What a wonderful life lesson for all! 🌟

📚 A Trip to the Jefferson Library! 📚

Summer Jump Start enjoyed a wonderful morning at the Jefferson Library with Ms. Kasey! Our parents, teachers, and most importantly, our little learners came together for an engaging story time filled with stories, songs, a fun craft, and of course, book checkouts.

Experiences like these help build a lifelong love of reading and learning. We are so grateful to our community partners who help make literacy come alive for our children. ❤️📖

Our Summer Jump Start pirates had a terrific time celebrating the letter P today! 🏴‍☠️☀️

The crew discovered a delicious treasure for lunch—pizza from Papa John’s! Thank you to Papa John’s for helping make our Alphabet Adventure extra special! ❤️🍕

🦕 Dinosaur Excavation! 🦖

Today our Summer Jump Start explorers had an amazing time on a dinosaur excavation adventure! Armed with tools and lots of curiosity, they searched through the sand and uncovered many extinct friends along the way. The excitement was contagious as each discovery brought smiles, wonder, and plenty of learning.

🔤🍦 Alphabet Adventure Continues! 🍦🔤

Our Summer Jump Start Alphabet Adventure brought us to the letter Q, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious trip to Dairy Queen! 😋

A huge thank you to Dairy Queen for hosting our students. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the smiles on our students’ faces said it all! ❤️

Learning is even sweeter when it comes with great experiences and community partners who help make memories that last a lifetime.

📚✨ Literacy Springs to Life! ✨📚

Summer Jump Start students enjoyed a special visit from the Jefferson City Schools Bookmobile today! Every child had the opportunity to choose a favorite book to take home and share with their families.

We are excited to help foster a love of reading all summer long. Be sure to send those books back next Thursday, and we’ll do it all again!
