Our team enjoyed celebrating Jackson County’s 230 year birthday this afternoon.

Please be advised that all 4-H activities are canceled for Monday, January 26, 2026.

Due to the forecasted winter storm that will impact our community, all Jackson County 4-H activities will be canceled on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. This includes SAFE Shotgun Open House and SAFE Archery practice.

The Jackson County Cooperative Extension Office is offering a “Beekeeping 101” class presented by Certified Master Beekeeper and co-owner of Ally Bees, David Bailey. The class will take place on February 28th, 2026, from 9am to 12pm, at the Jackson County Extension Office.

Congratulations to our fearless leader Greg Pittman. He was recognized by the Jackson County Board of Commissioners for receiving the 2025 County Extension Coordinator of the year award.

On behalf of the UGA Extension Jackson County Office staff we would like to thank everyone who has used our services this year. During our office holiday party we had a gingerbread house building competition between members of our staff!! Leave in the comments the number of which house is your favorite!
