Most console boats put you in the middle of the hull. The forward console puts you at the front of it. Better sight lines. More working room behind you. A layout that actually makes sense when you’re running timber or threading a river.

Pair that with a jet tunnel and you stop worrying about what’s under the water. Rocks, stumps, shallow crossings. The jet doesn’t care.

Side console, not the mini. The mini keeps it stripped down and gives you all the cockpit space you can get. The side console trades a little of that back for real seating, more deck to work, and a bigger tank for the long days. For how he runs it, that was the call.

Yamaha 70 on the back. 8 degree Razor bottom to cut the chop on the way out and hold draft on the way in. Removable poling platform and Evolve deck extension when he wants them, off the boat when he does not.
