Ruckus
Established in 2006, we believe in brands that care less about themselves and more about humanity. Let's imagine a better world and make it so.

Every great agency begins with a purpose.
For our Founder and CEO, Susan, that purpose is to help community-driven brands grow their impact and create positive change in the world.
We’re proud to be part of that journey. 💚

Some smells don’t just trigger memories. They pull you through time. 🎨
For Senior Art Director Elliot Asprey, stepping inside Highway Press in Avondale brought back memories of childhood visits to a local print shop and long hours spent learning the craft of printmaking in college.
In our latest blog, Elliot reflects on craftsmanship, creative practice and the people keeping traditional skills alive in a fast-moving world.

Postcards from the Emerald Trail 🌿
Together with Groundwork Jacksonville, we worked to show rather than tell the impact of the Emerald Trail, bringing its vision to life as it continues to take shape across Jacksonville.
Through video content that maps the trail’s future path, we highlighted restored parks, waterways and the communities it will connect. Along the way, capturing the people, neighborhoods and natural spaces that are already part of the trail’s story, making the project feel real and accessible long before every segment is complete.

Texture is what turns design from flat to felt. ✨
It often does the heavy lifting without being the first thing you notice, and that’s exactly why it matters.
In our office, it shows up everywhere: the contrast of plant leaves against concrete floors, the softness of sofa cushions against harder architectural surfaces. These relationships matter. They shape how depth, balance and visual tension are experienced, not just seen.
That same thinking carries into branding and design. Texture is what keeps visual systems from feeling flat. Without texture, visual systems feel sterile. They lose rhythm, realism and emotional weight.

We were in the stands for the Jacksonville Waves, taking in the highs, the momentum swings, and the energy that makes live basketball what it is. 🏀
Director of Communications, Lisa, was there with us, caught up in the action as Jacksonville’s newest hometown team brought the intensity.
If you spot our name at the arena, tag us in your photos and videos. Support your local team, show up loud, and make some ruckus. 🙌🔊
1 million downloads and counting 🎉🎙️
We’re excited to celebrate a major milestone: the Well Beyond Medicine® Podcast has surpassed one million downloads. What started as internal conversations around healthcare has grown into an international community of listeners and guests — all connected by stories that go well beyond medicine.
With more than 195 episodes, this milestone reflects the dedication, expertise and passion of everyone who has contributed along the way, from sharing episodes to lending their voices to the conversation. A special thank you to our incredible host and producer, Carol Vassar, whose thoughtful conversations, curiosity and care continue to make every episode meaningful.
We’re proud to partner with Nemours to bring these important stories to life and spotlight the people changing children’s health for the good. Thank you to every guest, listener and supporter who has tuned in along the way.
Here’s to the next million 🎧✨

Spend a day in the life with our returning intern, Kathy 🌟
An Advertising and Marketing student at Florida State University and Jacksonville native, Kathy is back with us this summer as a social media intern, jumping into content creation and all things social. We’re thrilled to have her back on the team and can’t wait to see what she creates!
One of the best parts of what we do is getting to connect our clients with local creatives who care deeply about their craft ✨
For The Cu**er Museum of Art & Gardens custom letterpress notecards, we partnered with Stephanie of Highway Press — a female-owned print shop operating out of her Avondale garage studio.
At Highway Press, every part of the process happens by hand, from design and film development to plate creation and printing, using 20th-century presses alongside modern digital techniques. The result is work that feels intentional, tactile and made to last.
Jacksonville is full of incredibly talented artists, makers and storytellers, and we love creating opportunities to collaborate with them

Well beyond the podcast studio 🎙️✨
The Nemours Well Beyond Medicine podcast and the ruckus team were on-site at the 97th Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting — an international gathering bringing together pediatric researchers, clinicians and medical educators from around the world to share groundbreaking research, spark new ideas, and build meaningful collaborations.
While there, we produced new episodes with incredible guests alongside our amazing host and co-producer, Carol Vassar, MS, diving into conversations shaping the future of pediatric healthcare and medicine.
Stay tuned. You won’t want to miss what’s coming next. 👀
A closer look at the Emerald Trail 🌿
What’s taking shape across Jacksonville is more than a trail system — it’s a reimagining of how people connect with nature, neighborhoods and each other. Through our work with Groundwork Jacksonville, we’ve had the opportunity to capture the spaces, stories and restoration efforts helping bring the Emerald Trail to life.
