Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward justice.
At JASMYN, we reflect on the significance of this day and the generations who fought for liberation, dignity, and equality.

We stand committed to building a community where every young person can thrive, feel supported, and live authentically.
Happy Juneteenth β€” may we continue moving toward a future rooted in freedom for all.

Happy Loving Day! Loving Day was inspired by the Loving v. Virginia (1967) U.S. Supreme Court decision and Richard and Mildred Loving's fight for justice as an in*******al couple. is a tradition that connects us as a multi-ethnic community. While all are welcome, it can be especially significant for in*******al couples, multiracial families, mixed race and transracially adopted people, and those with similar lived experience. We stand in solidarity on this global day of visibility, education, community...and of course, love. πŸ€πŸ–€πŸ€ŽπŸ’›

June 12 will forever be one of the darkest days for the LGBTQIA+ community. Today, as we mark ten years since Pulse, we join the families of The 49 to ensure Pulse's legacy of love, acceptance and hope is never lost. This week brings up so many emotions in light of so many tragedies, especially Pulse. In the face of all that has rocked our community, we will not let hate win. Take good care of you - breathe, take a walk, stand in the sunlight, ask for more hugs, offer more hugs, and know that you are loved. πŸŒˆπŸ’œ

June 8th is the eight day of Caribbean-American Heritage Month in the United States and the annual observance of the Caribbean-American HIV & AIDS Awareness Day. is a national mobilization effort designed to encourage Caribbean-American and Caribbean-born individuals across the United States and its territories to get educated, get tested, get treated and get involved. It is also a time to reflect, memorialize, and show compassion for those living with HIV and AIDS. It is a day of hope for the future of a Caribbean and Caribbean American community with available preventive health care as a daily part of life and a Caribbean Diaspora free of HIV and AIDS.

HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day is held annually on June 5th, the anniversary of the first published report of what came to be known as AIDS. It's a call to action to prioritize and improve the Quality of Life for long-term survivors and Older Adults with HIV.

With the success of treatment that has slowed the death rate and turned HIV into β€œchronic manageable illness," it is no longer enough to survive but it is a call to action to thrive. It's about long-term survivors being visible, standing firmly in their remarkable survival, and honoring their resiliency. ❀️
