Minerva is an outgoing, mischievous little girl with a big heart. She has regressive Feline Leukemia, meaning the virus is inactive in her body, and she can live a happy, healthy life just like other kitties. Many cats with regressive FeLV do very well and simply need a loving indoor home and routine vet care.

She’s ready to bring joy, fun, and affection into the right home.

🚨IT’S $5 Friday🚨 — Mama cat and her 4 kittens found beside an off ramp!

A couple days ago, one of our fosters was on her way to feed her colony when she spotted a cat near a small wooded area beside an off ramp. 😳

She pulled over to check things out, and not only was there a young adult cat there scrounging for food… she had 4 young kittens with her😢.

We are already overflowing with kittens, but what else do you do in a situation like that?

This was a terrible area for them. Right beside an off ramp, surrounded by traffic, with no houses or safe shelter nearby except for a small wooded space. These babies were trying to survive in one of the worst possible spots.

Thankfully, they are somewhat used to people. We discovered a homeless man living nearby who was able to pick some of them up, which helped make it possible to get them to safety.

Now they need everything: vetting, food, litter, supplies, and a safe foster space.

We are foster-based, which means our ability to say yes depends almost completely on having available fosters. When fosters are full, we are full. And right now, we are beyond stretched.

We need help in every way right now:

And of course we always need fosters.

Chima is a beautiful tabico girl with a unique coat and an equally unique personality. Rescued from a shed off Philips Highway in July 2025, she has grown into a mischievous, curious, and playful kitty who loves spending time with toys, other cats, and keeping an eye on what her humans are doing. She hasn't met children or dogs yet, but with a proper introduction would likely do well with both.
