I have strep throat. I haven’t had tonsils in over 20 years, but somehow picked up strep taking my son to the doctor this week 🤦🏻‍♀️

I refuse to work on any of the three customer orders I have whilst I’m sickly (personal preference to protect my customers), so I am choosing to work on my 7th niece/nephew’s heirloom blanket (since it is washable and I can sanitize the 100% cotton yarn my sister chose). The steroids I have me needing to be productive while I am resting in bed, so this is the perfect idea!

I’m totally in love with the yarn and pattern my sister chose. This cotton is far from my typical Bernat Blanket Yarn that I make for my babies, but it is going to go beautifully in the baby’s nursery!

Crochet is my love language.

Each year for Christmas, I ask my sisters if they need or want any handmade Christmas decor. This year, they each asked for 5 stockings each for their families. What are you most thankful for?

I am picking out which of my handmade stash I am taking to wear in Alabama and this Twisted Earwarmer is definitely going with me. I love that I can throw it on over a messy bun or with my curls down!

I haven’t been to see my entire family in almost a year, so I am very excited for this much needed visit. If anything, to boost my mental health after being in quarantine for the last 7.5 months and allow my little man time to play with his cousin/BFF. This year has been a complete rollercoaster for us and we deserve a break to just rest and hangout with our family. PLUS, I get my favorite foods like dressing and giblet gravy, my Nanny’s mac and cheese, and banana pudding 😍

With that said, I will be taking the week of Thanksgiving off (for the most part... I know I cannot totally leave my hooks alone because I would be figity), so if you need something mailed out before then, let me know! I will resume full-time creating on Nov 30 🖤

This was my first time working with Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny and OMG it is sooo incredibly soft. It worked up beautifully for this Mommy + Son beanie set 😍
