Waiting until something breaks might feel like the cheaper option, until it isn’t.
Unexpected downtime.
Lost productivity.
Emergency fixes.
Frustrated employees.
It all adds up FAST.
The real issue isn’t the problems—it’s the mindset behind them.
As long as IT is treated as something you fix after the fact, the costs will keep stacking up in the background.
The shift is simple: Stop reacting, start preventing.
That change alone can save you more than you think. ⭐️
Comment “LEVEL UP” if you’re ready to be proactive.

June brings the longest day of the year—more daylight, more time to work. Somehow, it still isn’t enough.
You start with a plan. Then the small stuff creeps in.
Slow logins. Files that won’t load. “Quick fixes” that aren’t quick.
By the end of the day, you’ve been busy but never ahead.
That’s not a time problem. It’s all the small interruptions adding up.
🕑 Get the full breakdown (and learn how to fix it) in this week’s blog: https://www.dpctechnology.com/2026/06/the-longest-day-of-the-year-so-why-does-time-still-feel-short/

June is Internet Safety Month and here’s the truth most businesses don’t realize:
You don’t need a sophisticated hacker targeting your business to be at risk.
You just need one employee reusing a password.
That’s all it takes to expose your entire network, your data, and your clients.
The scary part? Most businesses have no idea where they’re vulnerable until it’s too late.
The good news: it’s fixable.
A quick security check can uncover the gaps and help you lock things down before they become a problem.

School’s out!
Kids are home.
People are in and out of the office.
There are more interruptions throughout the day.
Instead of sitting down and working straight through, you’re handling things in between everything else.
An email comes in.
It looks normal.
You take care of it and move on.
No red flags. No second thought.
But this time of year, that’s often how security issues start.
When routines change and attention is split, it’s easier for the wrong thing to slip through.

…it’s your people.
Not because they’re careless, but because they’re human.
One click on the wrong link, one reused password, one quick download without thinking is all it takes.
Most security breaches don’t happen because of bad technology. They happen because employees aren’t trained or protected properly.
The good news? This is one of the easiest risks to fix. A few simple safeguards can make a big difference.

Imagine hiring an intern and giving them access to your emails, client data and internal documents …
And never checking their work.
That’s how most businesses are using AI right now.
It’s fast. Helpful. Impressive.
It can also:
Share data you didn’t mean to share
Use tools you didn’t approve
Create answers that sound right, but aren’t
👉 Here’s how you can responsibly supervise your “AI intern”: https://www.dpctechnology.com/2026/05/your-ai-assistant-is-already-in-your-dental-practice/

Your email might be hiding messages from you.
If someone gets access to your email, they don’t always lock you out.
Sometimes they create inbox rules that automatically:
Move emails
Mark them as read
Forward them somewhere else
So, things like invoices or password resets never show up.
👉 Quick Fix:
Go to your email Settings → Rules (or Filters)
Look for anything you didn’t create
Delete suspicious rules
Change your password and turn on multi-factor authentication

Keepnet Lab’s 2025 New Hires Phishing Susceptibility Report finds new employees are 45% more likely to fall for CEO impersonation emails.
Not because they’re careless, but because they don’t know what’s normal yet.
Picture this:
An email comes in from the “CEO” asking for a quick payment.
It feels urgent and looks legit.
The employee is only on day four.
They don’t want to be the employee who ignored the CEO, so they help.
That’s all it takes.
👉 We break down why the first week is the most dangerous and how you can change that in our new blog post: https://www.dpctechnology.com/2026/05/the-first-week-mistake-no-dental-practice-plans-for/

What an incredible couple of days in Jacksonville. 💙
Florida Mission of Mercy once again showed the power of a community coming together to care for one another. From the providers treating patients, to the volunteers directing traffic, registering families, setting up equipment, and keeping everything moving, every single person made an impact.
🦷 $1.9 million in donated dental services
🦷 1,600 patients served
Those numbers are incredible, but the real impact is the smiles restored, the pain relieved, and the dignity given back to so many people in our communities.
A huge thank you to Florida Dental Association Foundation Mission of Mercy, the volunteers, providers, and the Jacksonville community for showing up in such a big way.
And to our DPC team, proud of you for showing up, serving, and supporting something bigger than ourselves.

You wouldn’t leave the key to your business under the doormat, but that’s exactly what most companies are doing with their passwords.
One leaked password from a random site and suddenly hackers can access your email, bank account, client data … everything.
A recent Cybernews study found that 94% of passwords are reused across accounts.
That means one breach can leave multiple doors wide open.
The scary part? Most individuals think they’re “secure enough.”
