I love garlands for our fireplace and I sold all the ones I made a few years ago, so decided to make one for myself this week.

I love finding projects I can make with the small pieces of fabric I don't want to throw away. 💜 And sewing + reading is a no-brainer! 📖 Fun fabric corner bookmarks for the win! 🔖

I made something new over the weekend - pocket-friendly card wallets! They'll easily hold a few cards and some cash, can be secured with the attached elastic band, and fit easily in a pocket or bag! I love projects that use up small pieces of fabric. 💜

Got a little sewing in the past couple of weeks and finished up a new apron yesterday. As many of these as I've made over the years, turns out not making one for a year might affect my ability to sew one practically with my eyes closed. Good thing for the seam ripper! 😂

Had a fun lesson last night at The Tilted Quilters learning more about my new sewing machine, including how to take it apart so that we know how to oil it and put it back together, and how some of the fun decorative stitch functions work. There's so much more to learn! But pretty cool to find out that there is a mastery workbook I can download that will teach me lesson by lesson lots more about this fancy new machine! It definitely does more than my trusty Singer did. Next week I get to learn how the embroidery attachment works! 🧵🪡
