Wrapped In Love is a project that provides hand made blankets for victims of child trafficking who are being restored at Kaleb House.

Thank you to our recent donors from Evangel Temple in Jacksonville, FL! Today one of my top vendors had a sale and Wrapped In Love was able to purchase enough yarn to make four more blankets for less than the cost of making three. You are appreciated, and Wrapped In Love is committed to making your donations as impactful as possible. Thank you again!

This is the new blanket for Kaleb House. It’s a long way from being finished, but I already love it. The yarn is extremely soft, some of the softest yarn I’ve ever used (Premier Yarms Anti-Pilling Everyday DK), and the colors are gorgeous. 😍

I’m excited to say that I finally finished another blanket for Kaleb House. It has been a long month of trips, adding animals to our homestead, and training said animals for the life they’re going to lead here. We’ve also been gearing up for the start of homeschool, which is always super exciting! I’ll post some more pictures in a few days of the blanket that I’m working on currently. I am very excited to see it come together! Thank you for everyone who has donated to Wrapped in Love and made this possible, I could not do this without you. Blessings and shalom! Tomorrow

I know I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to take a moment to reassure everyone who has donated and followed Wrapped In Love that blankets are still being made for Kaleb House, it's just going very slowly right now. We took a family trip to pick up Dixie and Bonnie, our two future LGDs, and I took a trip with my mom for some R & R. We are now updated our homestead while everyone is home for summer, and reorganizing and puppy proofing the house (it seems they find a way to get into EVERYTHING), and plan to fence in our front yard for the girls this month as well. So...super busy, but I'm about 2/3 of the way done on a blanket right now, just not as much time to crochet over summer. Oh - I'm also creating a Bible-based reading curriculum that I'm also created photorealistic AI generated images for to be used to teach English and spread the Gospel across the world, everywhere our family's ESL curriculum is used, so there's a big deadline for that as well. All is well, we are happy and cared for by the Father, but we are SUPER busy...

Thank you to everyone who has donated, purchased yarn, or sent supplies from our Amazon Wishlist. Because of your kindness, five more handmade blankets are on their way to Kaleb House and will arrive just in time for the opening of the first home. Kaleb House rescues and restores children from human trafficking and provides them with long term care and a safe space to heal.
Behind those five blankets are more than 100 hours of crocheting, 30 skeins of yarn, and about $230 in materials. Each blanket is made with the hope that a child who has already experienced so much pain will be welcomed with something soft, warm, and made just for them.
As these blankets leave, the yarn supply needs to be refilled so we can continue to send more. Thankfully, one of our vendors is holding a semiannual sale July 7–13, with yarn discounts of up to 60%. This is a wonderful opportunity to stretch every dollar and prepare the next batch of blankets.
If you would like to help, please consider making a donation through PayPal or Venmo, or simply sharing this post with others. Every blanket is a reminder to a child that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
We could not do this without you.

I've got a box of 5 blankets ready to photograph and send to Kaleb House, so it's time to start 5 more! Here's the first one, and I'm loving the yarn and the color. It's Premier Yarns Colorfusion DK in "Maui."
To my fellow yarn addicts - Does anyone else keep a variety of projects going at once? I like to keep 1-2 easy "1 row repeat" blankets going, one that challenges me or teaches me a new skill, and I'm thinking about keeping a granny square or other "motif" project going where you make a lot of smaller pieces and stitch them together to make the finished blanket. I also try to keep one bulky weight blanket going, but those are very slow going because I can only do a few rows on it a day. Anyway, this is blanket 1. Blanket 2 should get started tonight, so stay tuned!

Many of people have reached out and asked,
"Can I make a blanket for Kaleb House?" The answer is YES! I would love to see lots of people making blankets to send to Kaleb House.
Check out the Wrapped in Love web page (www.wrappedinloveproject.com) for details and suggestions on sizes and yarns.
The main things to keep in mind are:
1. Use yarns that are machine washable and dryer safe, and avoid animal fibers (for allergy and easy of care reasons)
2. Make sure the blanket is large enough for a child to wrap it around their shoulders for a good cuddle. Kids come in shapes and sizes, so there isn't a set size.
