Professional birth doula, postpartum doula, and childbirth education services. In 2012 my husband and I learned we were finally pregnant.

I have been in the healthcare field since 2008 and have always been interested in childbirth and neonatal care. I struggled for many years with my own infertility and went through many procedures and rounds of treatment. After an adventurous year of advancing my career, I have been gifted the amazing opportunity to relocate and continue serving doing what my heart is very passionate about.
Therefore, DoulaNess has officially closed and will no longer be offering services.

It has been a weekend!!! And it is just beginning for us!

This week I caught baby #100 (ended the shift at 103 !!!!)
Huge moment! When I never thought I was good enough for this- to being trusted with managing and catching 100 babies. Simply feeling blessed!

And now I get to spend the next 10 days with my crew. My people. Our style vacations- this time ride in camper!

Here we come Maine!!! They Kenny's are rolling in!!

Have to love this work!
Today I was honored to shower a mommy friend with her gender reveal cake.
This cake was a special request as the work we do is special. Any way it happens.
So to this family.... CONGRATULATIONS!

Fun fact of the day:

Did you know, the placenta pumps 500-900mL of gestational carrying person blood, to the fetus every minute at term (36.0 weeks-42.6 weeks), until birth!?

Comparatively, there is approximately 4000mL of blood in our bodies (using easier numbers here). Therefore thats nearly 1/4 of a persons blood supply.... to a baby!

When I learned that bulb suctioning can cause arrhythmias, mucosal damage, irritation, aggrivation, and more..... I stopped routinely practicing this.
