Room for Smiles

Someone told me that they never saw this on Room for Smiles page. I guess my computer had a bad day, so I'll post again. This group called The Widows Sons "Tyler's Sword" presented us with a check for Room for Smiles. These tough looking guys have hearts of gold. We cannot Thank them enough. Just sweet words does not seem like enough. I really don't know how to say Thank you, other than you have given some special hero children the room of their dreams and put a smile on their face. 😍🙋‍♂️👩‍🦼👩‍🦯👫Thank You!

I have to say, this was an emotional room for us. His Mom said we might not be able to tell if he liked it or not, because he really doesn't show a lot of emotion. He wouldn't hardly even look at us before we did the room...........but.........when he walked in and saw this , well, he was bouncing off the walls happy!!! From a child who wouldn't speak to us .......to a young man giggling and giving us hug after hug!!!! We were elated !! Mom said even they didn't get hugs like that ! Thank you to this family for allowing us to come into their home and gift this young man a new room. And Thank You to all our followers who donate so that we can keep doing what we do.

We also gifted him a foam floor. This will muffle the noise of his race cars from the living room downstairs. Along with some sign art that we gifted and what he already had, we finished the room.

We gave him the perfect way to display and keep track of his cars. I think each shelf holds 72 cars and he now has 4 of them! This is also an upstairs room and he likes to keep his door shut. So it gets pretty hot in there. So we gifted his a portable air conditioner. Now he can have his privacy and still be cool.

On the other side of the room, he got a brand new dresser donated by Furniture Finds! It was so perfect, matched the room and was the best size for his TV. Thank you so much Furniture Finds for this donation from the store with a heart. He loved it.

Here is what he walked into. We gave him a new car bed, that lights up and new racing curtains.

This young man is Autistic and very much into cars. He had just returned to his room after two days and the bag he is carrying , you guessed it, is full of cars.
