🇺🇸 THINGS I DID IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI
We touched down in Jackson for two nights on our Deep South road trip… and packed a lot in.
Here’s a little snapshot 👇

1–2) Slow wanderings at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park – such an easy escape into nature

3) Stumbled across some seriously cool street art around the city

4) Learned more about Native American history

5) The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum hit hard, especially chatting with Hezekiah Watkins, a Freedom Rider with an unforgettable story

6) Followed the Mississippi Blues Trail, so live music is part of the experience here

7) Ate very well… think independent cafés, diners, and local spots everywhere

8- Ended the day – craft beer always finds me

9) Wandered through the for local produce, artists and makers.

10) Stopped by , the official capitol building for the state of Mississippi

11) Stayed at the beautiful independently-owned , full of character and history

🇻🇳 Postcards from Sapa, Vietnam: Lush rice terraces, ancestral crafts, and the warmest of smiles.

Days were filled with trekking misty landscapes carved into mountainsides through lesser-known villages, witnessing everyday life with the sounds of ducks and the sight of buffalo chilling.

Workshops with local Hmong women in bamboo paper making, brocade weaving, and wax‑resist batik offered the chance to learn directly from artisans who have perfected these techniques through generations.

Shared hotpot dinners, learned the art of spring rolls, and toasted new friends with a Hanoi Beer overlooking the hills.

Reached the summit of Fansipan Peak, soaked in views that touched the clouds, and ended the journey rolling back to Hanoi on the sleeper train.

Every moment in SaPa felt like a postcard come to life.
