Mississippi Data Centers Discussion & Prayer Meetings
Jackson Ward 2 Councilwoman Montyne “Tina” Clay and local clergy are inviting residents to a series of community meetings focused on data centers and their potential impact on the Greater Jackson area.
The sessions will feature local and national subject matter experts discussing topics including:
• What data centers are and where they are located in Mississippi
• How data centers are powered
• Potential impacts on water and electricity resources
• Community concerns and opportunities for public involvement
In addition to educational discussions, attendees will have an opportunity to join in prayer for Jackson and the Greater Jackson community.
Meeting Dates:
June 15th, 6 p.m. – Fresh Start Christian Church
June 22nd, 6 p.m. – Tabernacle of Praise Church
June 23rd, 6 p.m. – Central United Methodist Church
The meetings are open to the public and are intended to provide information, answer questions and encourage community dialogue about data center development in Mississippi.

Community Conversation on Mississippi’s Data Centers
Women for Progress Radio Network will host “An Informed Community: The Facts About Mississippi’s Data Centers,” a live podcast discussion focused on the impact, opportunities and economic implications of data center development across Mississippi.
The conversation features Candace Coleman, Governmental Affairs Executive with Entergy and Hunter Gardner, Executive Director of the Hinds County Economic Development Authority, who will share insights on infrastructure, economic growth and the future of technology investment in the state.
The event will live on Facebook and YouTube, giving community members an opportunity to learn more about one of Mississippi’s fastest growing industries.
