It wasnt a waste of time. It never is. I had a blast and gained experience. I am proud because most of this was done with a skew chisel and thats very difficult to master. We will try again tonight. Any ideas on other winter shapes? Im doing a Christmas tree next. Let me know. Love you guys.
This is my way of celebrating this year. Alone. Doing what i love. I did eat the meal i wanted. Dont mind or make fun of the stupid faces i make while I'm working. I finally started making those old man faces that i used to make fun of the old guys when i was younger. Right Wes? Lol. My first snowman. Super wet wood. Not ready but we will make it happen. Thanks to everyone who has followed. I hope you had a happy, safe and loving Thanksgiving. I hope your heart is full and you feel gratitude. I do know that this is the hardest time of year for people who are hurting. I want to acknowledge them too. You are valued and you should really stick around. We need you. In the spirit of fall and Halloween. This is my project. It's small but I just love it. For whomever, I think it will be great on a mantel or display with other things. Hope you enjoy. Take care.

I picked up some nice walnut today. I bit the bullet and bought a live edge slab as well. I've been bitten again and all I can think of is creating unique things I love and others do too. There have been many roadblocks and hiccups but I'm so excited to get back to doing what I love the most. Thank you for everyone who still comes to view my page and all of my new fans and friends. Hey everyone. Thanks to everyone who still views and supports my page. I've had a lot of health issues over the last 2years and finally finding a balance and getting back on my feet. I'll no longer be doing large jobs. I'll still warranty all of my work and do smaller repairs. I'll now focus on commissioned woodworking and furniture pieces. Two things not to skimp on when looking to buy a home: a top quality home inspector and extended home warranty. Even a really knowledgeable home inspector can overlook or miss vital structural issues. Research and hire your own. You do not have to use the one your realtor recommends. Also, have a safety net written into your contract that could save you hundreds even thousands of dollars in expensive repairs. Ask that the seller throw in a one year extended warranty. Most run about $500 per year and are renewable. In the case you happen to find youself in a situation that requires repairs, call us.
I haven't posted in a while. Some work in a clinic in a historic home downtown. Because it's commercial we decided to remove the stove instead of the cost of ventilation and sprinklers. Of course the floor was unlevel and the fridge only came with one adjustable foot. I had to drill and tap holes to add adjustable feet. It turned out nice
