Our PGY-3s and PGY-4 MPs graduated on Thursday night, and we could not be more proud! We are excited to see the amazing things they go on to do and the impact they make. They have already made an impact on us.

We started the retreat day with our upcoming PGY2 and 3s (and med peds 4s) hearing about program updates, work place enjoyment, burnout, patient experience, and hand offs as well as from our different departments and being good teachers! We had walk out songs, prizes, and lots of laughs. Some of our residents even showed off their acting skills and quick NICU calculations!

The children of Mississippi are getting another year of some of the best resident doctors around!

The Mississippi Chapter of the AAP recently held their state meeting. We had residents, medical students, and attendings representing us with posters and presentations! A few of our attendings not pictured were there as attendees and judges as well!

We pride ourselves at Children’s of Mississippi on our unique pathologies that lead to so much learning as well as opportunities for case reports, posters, and oral presentations!

We CANNOT wait for Friday to see where all of the amazing M4’s that have learned alongside of us are headed. Whether it be in pediatrics or any other specialty, we are immensely proud of you!

Dr. Jasmine Ware presented earlier this month at grand rounds on the roots of distrust. What great timing with Black History Month! Dr. Ware is not only a fantastic doctor but amazing role model to our patients (and co residents!!). She is a fierce advocate and cares so deeply for our children. We are so proud to call her ours and for her presentation.
