Positively Sober

So much different as time passes by 😃

Some things need emphasis... If you are tired, struggling and want to give up, this is for you. Don't quit... I won't quit either.

If I gained anything through my plunge into addiction, then up out of my bottom it's simple. You become who you surround yourself with.

What do you hope to do this year? My mom always told me I could do anything I put my mind to. Perhaps you heard the same thing growing up.

It wasn't until recently that I realized that isn't something parents just say. I wanna pass this message on to you... You can ! And I want to encourage you to not just make a resolution, but to thoroughly explore yourself and really put your mind and heart to what you want. Because I know if you do this, you will get it.

Now go and get it. !!!!

Remember your energy and time is consumed where your focus is. This is really no joking matter. Distracting and disengaging activities can eat your dreams alive. Have the eye of the Tiger... Be laser focused and approach your passions, dreams and aspirations with determination and perseverance.

Determine what you want and deliberately go after it. Review your day, did you step towards your dreams or get distracted. Stay in your passion. Don't let anyone say your passion is not important. It isn't to them, it's your passion... Stay in your passion. Make the decision to focus on your passions, dreams and aspirations with focus. If you can honestly say you've been in your passion one day at a time with focus, you'll be amazed at what you can do. We are designed with purpose and when we tap into our God given talents, gifts, and aspirations we see God sized progress.

New Name here... When I created Positively Fit in 2013 it was a tool I created for myself to try and develop a self love process and to maintain and cultivate positivity during a period of my life which could be called a period of madness. In retrospect, it missed the mark. Fitness is wonderful, it's a huge passion of mine. But it was not the solution for me. I had to be all in on my recovery. I had to learn to focus on myself and build a better me. But, not just in the gym. I needed work professionally, spiritually, physically, mentally and socially.... And some....

Instead of helping me, fitness became another way to ignore what was going on in my life and help others ignore, as we live in an outward appearance focused culture.

Fitness still has a huge place in my life. But I'm starting to workout all aspects of myself. To learn about focus, willingness and work as it relates to me as a whole person. A sober mind was needed.

This is my journey forward... How I intend to work on my whole self Positively Sober !!!

Take the fork, one way looks perilous and the other leads to life. Even when we clearly know this, the road less taken is often the life choice

Choose fidelity and faithfulness, choose sobriety, choose charity and generosity, choose healthy eating and exercise, choose books and in person conversations, choose hand written thank yous and appreciation lunches, choose the next right thing.

It's Pretty Simple !! Either you do it or you don't. The choice is yours. TAKE THE FORK.

Been on my mind all day... This is often quoted as a Japanese Proverb .. Funny thing is thing is... King Solomon (son of David, that guy that kicked Goliath's ass) wrote some wisdom. Hebrew writing called Shlomoh.... But think quick not slow, these are in your Bible today. The book of Proverbs - don't trust every meme you see. This meme is often credited as a Japanese Proverb.

Proverbs 24:16 to paraphrase says the righteous will fall 7 times yet rise again. If there are any religious texts that stand it is the original Hebrew writings, given almost all religions root in them.

So if you have fallen, don't fall in shame too. Inspired by God, Solomon penned the Proverbs. God asked Solomon what he wanted in life - and He requested wisdom to best serve the people. So God gave him more wisdom than anyone ever. And since he wasn't greedy - Orange CA or Dubai thankfully weren't incorporated yet... God went ahead and made Solomon the first trillionaire. Estimated worth by some historians have Solomon worth 2 trillion dollars in today's numbers.

Long short, get up, worry not about the frivolous... Does not God dress the flowers in the fields in gorgeous coats?? How much better will he lavish us if we go to Him.

The quote says a lot. In the words of Winston Churchill, "Never Give Up" and "Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm."

I understand tough times. If you are in tough times, I say this... Never give up, never lose your enthusiasm, you are enough and have everything you need."
