Thanks to these dads, you and your family don't have to spend your weekend worrying about that dying tree in the backyard, the storm-damaged limb hanging over the driveway, or trying to get your lawn as green as the neighbor’s.

Today, we're celebrating the fathers who work hard to care for your trees, turf, and outdoor spaces while also taking care of the people who matter most at home.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Aspen! 🌳

Young bagworms are now active and feeding, making June one of the best times to identify and manage infestations.

Bagworms spend the winter as eggs inside last year’s bags. As temperatures warm, tiny caterpillars emerge and begin feeding on nearby foliage. Right now, they are still small and easy to miss, but they can cause significant damage as they grow.

🌲 Keep an eye on arborvitae, juniper, cedar, and spruce.

Early detection matters. Bagworms are much easier to manage while they are young and actively feeding.

Summer officially begins this weekend, but many trees, shrubs, and lawns across New Jersey are still showing the effects of this spring's late freeze.

Over the past several weeks, we've continued to see frost damage, drought stress, and other landscape issues emerge as plants respond to one of the more unusual springs in recent memory. As temperatures rise, these stresses can become even more apparent.

Our Summer 2026 Newsletter covers what we're seeing in the field right now, along with seasonal insights on tree care, lawn health, outdoor pests, and other topics to help keep your landscape healthy throughout the months ahead.

We had the pleasure of working on this beautiful beech tree at Princeton University as part of a treatment plan to help manage Beech Leaf Disease.

If you have beech trees on your property, now is the time to have them evaluated. Beech Leaf Disease can spread quickly and, if left unmanaged, may lead to significant decline and eventual tree loss in as little as 3 to 5 years.

The good news is that treatment options are available. The first step is determining whether your beech is a good candidate for treatment and developing a plan before the disease progresses further.

Just as important, treatment timing matters. The treatment window takes place during the summer, and we are currently in it. Waiting too long could mean missing this year's opportunity and having to wait until next season, giving the disease several more months to advance.

Concerned about a beech tree on your property? Schedule an evaluation with one of our ISA Certified Arborists® and NJ Licensed Tree Experts today.

4 Things Mosquitoes Love About Your Yard 06/16/2026

Summer is almost here, which means backyard barbecues, pool days, and evenings spent outside with family and friends.

The last thing you want is mosquitoes driving everyone indoors. 🦟

Certain landscape conditions can make your property much more attractive to mosquitoes and allow populations to build throughout the season. In this post, we look at four common conditions that attract mosquitoes, explain a little about the mosquito life cycle, and share a few simple ways to help reduce mosquito activity around your yard.

However, even well-maintained properties can still have mosquito activity, as mosquitoes often travel from neighboring yards, wooded areas, wetlands, and other nearby breeding sites.

If you're looking for extra protection this summer, ask us about our organic mosquito control program.

4 Things Mosquitoes Love About Your Yard By the time mosquitoes are swarming around the patio, hovering around the pool, or making it unpleasant to sit outside in the evening, the conditions that allowed them to build up may have been there for weeks.

There was hardly a cloud in the sky, and we got to support fellow Jackson businesses, so of course it was a great day on the course. ⛳

Team Aspen was proud to take part in the 5th Annual Jackson NJ Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing at Gambler Ridge Golf Course. Thanks to the Jackson Chamber for hosting another great event!

We came. We saw. We fished. 🎣

The 3rd Annual Aspen Company Fishing Trip took place this past weekend, bringing together good company, beautiful weather, and a little friendly competition.

Congratulations to Joe Blozen and Gannon Wyche for taking home the 1st and 2nd place big fish prizes! 🏆

Thank you to B & K Hydraulics, SENNEBOGEN, Modern Group, and Northern Atlantic Financial for helping make the event possible through their prize donations, and to Queen Mary Party Fishing Boat and Charters for another great trip.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. 🐟

Meet Justin!

Justin Mulligan is our Lawn Supervisor and one of the faces behind Aspen Tree and Turf's lawn care program. Whether he's out applying treatments, checking on properties, or helping keep the schedule moving, Justin plays a big role in keeping our customers' lawns looking their best throughout the season.

Justin is about as chill as they come. He throws his hat on, puts his AirPods in, and gets to work.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his fiancée, relaxing in front of the TV, and playing video games. 😎

The friendship came first. The job came later. And somewhere along the way, Dave became part of the Aspen family.

This year, Dave Ossowski officially celebrates 35 years of full-time employment with Aspen, though the real number is a little hard to pin down. He spent years helping out part-time before coming on full-time, so we’ll just call it 35-ish and then some. 😉

However you count it, Dave has been a huge part of Aspen’s story. We’re grateful for his hard work, loyalty, friendship, and all the ways he’s helped Aspen grow over the years.

Congratulations on 35 years, Dave! Aspen wouldn’t be the same without you.
