first winter coaching for done and dusted!

i have had such a great winter coaching with great people, coaching great athletes, and surrounded by a great community.

getting a few athletes into JFC’s was the cherry on top. it was a challenging winter and i am so proud to ski alongside our athletes. they made the most out of the low tide and always brought the fun out of every day.

it’s been a big move but i am so happy to be back in the Tetons! so happy to be part of such a great program 🤍

i have really not been looking forward to ending my 20s to be honest, but this last year has really chewed me up and spit me out into a better version of myself (i hope).

moving to Jackson has been such a fresh start for me and i feel so happy and so supported here. losing Chick broke me to my core, and has probably been the hardest thing i have ever experienced, but i am so thankful for everyone who has been here with me through it all.

i am so thankful for all my friends, my experiences, mamma earth, and everything in between.

here’s to the last year of my 20’s, let’s run it back

Chick 05/23/2003-1/4/2025

Chickadee… I really didn’t think this day would come so soon. Almost 18 years together was not near enough. You touched so many people’s lives in your time. You were so special, you taught me and others so so much, you were so many people’s first ever rides, first ever horse interaction, you loved going for an unexpected swim, and loved rolling in the dirt immediately after i had given you a bath to try and get you pretty. You and I did so much together. I drove you across the country multiple times, we moved all around the Salt Lake valley, to Idaho, to Wyoming. We traveled many miles on the trail, we worked cows, we rode completely tackless all the time, you taught Chief what it means to be a saddle horse, you taught children, you were always providing some sort of life lesson every time I interacted with you. You were my first horse, the one that pi**ed me off to no end, but also taught me more than anyone could have. We learned so much and have grown so much together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion for most of my life.

This loss has hurt me so much and has been so unexpected. Please forgive me for not being a human for the foreseeable future…

well.. guess it’s time to spill the beans.
ya girls moved to Jackson! honestly can’t really believe this is happening but here we are in the Tetons. me, houlihan, and the horses 💞

it’s been extremely bittersweet leaving home, moving my horses, leaving my friends, leaving AltaBird (6 years!), and starting on a new unknown journey. it’s been a tough tough year for me, and these past few months have put my world upside down. however, this feels like a change in the right direction and i am welcoming all of the unknown with open arms and an open heart.

i’m also really excited to announce i have taken the National Team Coordinator position with and i am so so psyched to be coaching a rad crew of athletes all winter!

utah folk - don’t be scared please come visit me, and i will be doing the same!

i challenged myself this summer and decided to travel down south all by my lonesome and jam packed everything i could in the two weeks i was in Chile. I couldn’t have done it without the best friends and amazing connections made along the way 🤍

bad financial decision? probably. good times and lots of personal growth? absolutely.

reminiscing on the times on the river right about now. seeing sunsets and sunrises, going with the flow of the current, scouting rapids in tutu’s, making some delicious ass food, and spending the best time with some amazing folks. sure do feel so so much gratitude and appreciation for what the river gives us 🫶🏼

river time sure doesn’t get better than this 🌞 been a while since i have ventured the lower salmon. Idaho whitewater just hits different, i’ll tell you that. so thankful for my time spent 🩵
