When you own and operate a small business, it is REALLY hard to get out of town, even for a day. So much planning and preparation is required to close the shop. But, the Havner’s are getting out of town!

We are a family owned business and our kids are growing up in the shop. That is one of our greatest joys. But we know that in order to work hard, sometimes you need to rest hard. We will be closed from Saturday, June 20-Saturday, June 27 to enjoy some time to just be mom and dad to our kids who are growing so fast. We will be back and ready to hit the ground running Monday, June 29. Have a great week!

This piece came to us via a street artist in Europe and I wish you could see this in person! The richness of the colors and the variations in texture make you feel like you’re in the European countryside.

Because the artist too the image to the edges of the canvas, we floated the piece and finished it with forest green spacers around the inside of the frame to give it a true custom feel. This little piece truly makes a statement and we are grateful that it made it all the way from Europe to Jackson, TN and through our doors.

Something to know about the Havner’s: Charlie Havner loves a sunny day. He wants the UV to be 11+, a cloudless bright blue sky, just endless sun-drenched days. I (Trista), on the contrary, LOVE a rainy day. Mostly so I can curl up with a book and some coffee and listen and look and basically just soak in the grey. But a rainy day at the frame shop, especially at the end of the week, is my favorite. I love the idea of making a list and knocking out tasks and powering through all the work that’s been piling up, and since no one really wants to load finished pieces into cars in the rain, it’s quiet around here so there are podcasts aplenty and hard work being done.

Don’t get us wrong, we love to see your faces, but a good ol’ fashioned catchup day never hurt anyone. Enjoy the rain!

Before Havner’s moved into 105 North Church Street, our building served as Jackson’s first central fire station. For generations, the people who worked here answered calls to protect downtown businesses, homes, and neighbors.

Today, we’re honored to continue caring for and preserving things that matter to our community—just in a different way.

One of the things we love most about being a downtown business is knowing that these walls have been part of Jackson’s story for so long. There is so much history in the bones of this building, and as a third-generation business, what was is so important to us.

Do you have any memories of the old fire station or stories you’ve heard about our building? We LOVE hearing stories about how this place has mattered to our community!

Last night, we hosted the opening reception for our spring community show, “In Plain Sight”. I knew this show was going to be special. The majority of our artists were first time contributors and I had never met many of them before last night. And you know what that means? It means our arts community is growing and Jacksonians are being exposed to art that moves and challenges us.

I think the best part of last night was watching connections happen. Artists meeting other artists, asking about process and technique and exchanging phone numbers and taking photos together- the stuff I dreamed about when the gallery was only an idea. Art is a powerful vehicle for community and I get to watch it happen in real time.

To every artist who has work hanging in the gallery- thank you. Truly. It’s a vulnerable thing to create art that’s deeply personal and then release that art. It becomes what the observer needs it to be and that’s a gift. To every neighbor who showed up to witness the work- thank you, really. Art holds so much of our collective story and has the power to bind us and break us in all the best ways. Thank you for bearing witness. Art really, really is for everyone.

We couldn’t wait to share this piece because when do you get to frame a vintage CD sleeve from the early nineties featuring the signatures of , Layne Staley and the guys from ?? For this grunge/alt metal lover, this is a holy grail piece 🤘🏽

Good morning! It’s officially May and that’s hard to believe. You guys know that we are a true family business. It’s just Charlie and me and we are parents to two very busy middle school (and almost high school 😭) students. Throw in our graduating senior brother/child into the mix and it will be a very busy May!

With that in mind, you may see that the shop has some shortened hours or is closed for an hour here and there this month. We most definitely want to do our best to serve our community and customers, but we are mom and dad first and these years are flying by! So please bear with us as we try to make every end of the year event and follow along here or on Facebook to see our adjusted hours (nothing too crazy, just a few adjusted days). Thanks for understanding and supporting our family!
