Finally got the C105T on the road. I can't tell you how exciting it is to ride this bike for the first time in well over 45 years! I canโ€™t thank Jim Giuffra enough for helping me restore my Momโ€™s Honda. Just a quick put on our quiet street. I will be wearing a helmet as usual on my future rides.

Turn that volume on so you can hear the sweet sounds of this 1963 Honda C105T. If you've been following this restoration, you may know that my Dad bought this new in So California for my Mom. Jim Giuffra and I have been working to restore since July 2020.
Hearing the engine purr brings back many fond memories of fun adventures with the family. My Mom loved this little bike. I can't wait to take it for a spin.....stay tuned ๐Ÿ›ต

I put the engine back into the frame of the C105T. Jim Giuffra said that I had to connect the rear brakes if I wanted to be able to stop ๐Ÿ˜†
I put the skid plate on and foot peg assembly. Getting close to burning up the streets of Amador County ๐Ÿš”

Assembling the lower end of the C105T Using Torco Assembly L**e. Very interesting to learn how the transmission shifts. Notice the blue jacket I'm wearing and the patch from the American Truck Historical Society. This belonged to my Mom Kay Kirkland. Very fitting to wear as I'm restoring her motorcycle.

I learned how to do a valve job today. Put the rocker arms back in. The cylinder only required a light hone. This would have made my Dad proud to see me restore my Mom's motorcycle.

Continuing the engine disassembly. It's remarkable that after 58 years this engine isn't full of rust and has more damage. The only problem we found was a broken tooth on the countershaft 1st gear.
