We are honored to invite meaningful Native American programming to the students at Wilson Elementary School! WES loved welcoming Native American artists Jasmine Bell and Joanne Brings Thunder into their classrooms for hands-on art projects that connected students to Native history, culture, and traditions. Such a special opportunity for our school community! ✨🪶🎨

Through our Educator Project Grants, pARTners is proud to support meaningful creative experiences in local classrooms. 🌟

A past Educator Grant involved Kelly Elementary 4th and 5th graders, who explored the story of Heart Mountain through poetry and collage alongside artist Matt Daly. By combining visual art and writing, students were able to reflect, create, and connect with history in a hands-on way. ⛰️

Bringing Indigenous arts into the classroom! ✨

We’re thrilled to bring the Bell family to Jackson schools! This past fall, students experienced a powerful performance by two-time World Champion hoop dancer Jasmine Pickner Bell of the Crow Creek Dakota Sioux Tribe. Now, she and her husband, Luke Bell—a member of the Northern Arapaho and lead drummer of the North Bear Drum Group—along with their two daughters, are sharing their cultural traditions, dances, drumming, and the stories behind them. 🥁

Students will create their own hoops and explore the cultural significance of this art form. Our mission at pARTners is to enrich every student’s journey through high quality, cultural art experiences. 🎨

2nd graders stepped into history through art and storytelling ⛺

In our Tipi Education & Art project, students explored the history, form, and function of tipis. First painting small watercolor studies, then collaborating in a group to design larger canvas tipis inspired by their own symbols and classroom stories! 🤝

So much creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful learning, woven together. ❤️
