Victoria was up before daylight working with Sahara and will be back at it again later once the sun sets. When you’re training horses in Mississippi, you learn to work around the heat and make the most of the cooler hours of the day. It takes dedication but it’s what these horses need to find good homes. 🐴💕

She’s currently evaluating Sahara for us and, if all goes well, may even take her on as a project. 🤞

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, we want to remind pet owners that their furry friends may be less than enthused about the loud pops and crackles that accompany our celebrations.

Here are some things you can do to keep your pet safe and comfortable this upcoming holiday weekend:

✨ Keep your cat or dog indoors to help them stay calm. Consider leaving the TV or some music on to mask the scary noises.

✨ If your pet is prone to stress, please consult your veterinarian as they may be able to provide further advice and/or medication to get you through a potentially noisy weekend. We also offer several different types of calming aides, from diffusers to collars to treats, that are over the counter (no exam needed) and affordable.

✨ During this time of year, we do see an increase in lost pets as they try to escape the jarring noise of fireworks. Please make sure your pet is wearing a collar and ID tag. It's also a good idea to have your pet microchipped in case they do get out.
