An iconic campsite. Camp 2 on Ama Dablam. Can’t beat the views but it’s a little crowded by the loo.

Going experimental in a snowstorm up high on Aconcagua :) - kinda dig the abstraction. Would prob be cool as large format wall art.

Cerro Mercedaruo, seen from up high on Aconcagua in the Central Andes last week. Had a few epic sunsets while camped out up there through a storm cycle. This peak is just a few hundred meters shorter than Aconcagua, but is barely known or climbed. Would love to plan another trip there some day.

Mount Foraker from Denali 14 camp. Heck of a view. Honestly the camera doesn’t really do it justice. Hope to climb Foraker one day if I can.

At the edge of the world, the horizon turned into sky. It was just a sea of white. Snow, and glaciers at first. Then rolling, bulbous clouds. I sat there for awhile. Thinking about the meaning of it all. Then my sunglasses were blown off my forehead, down a few thousand foot cliff band below…. The moral of this story is to always climb big mountains with two pairs of sunglasses.

Remembering the days of being wild and free as a full time adventure photographer. With in Chalten. I lived the dream for a time, but life has chapters, has seasons. Now I’m trying to build a podcast, and support my family with photo/video projects where I can. Also applying to jobs. Trying all sorts of things to find a way to make a sustainable living. Spaghetti is on the wall, and it is not sticking yet.
For folks down in Chalten this season, enjoy summer camp. Be safe. It’s truly a dangerous place… the way I see the place now is different from how I saw it while climbing wild and free. Life is precious and can be taken in an instant. But also, what greater freedom than to soar among the eagles down there… moving gracefully over one of the most impressive landscapes on earth. God I miss it!
