🎓 Western High School Class of 2026 🎓

Some students leave a lasting impression, and Jeorjia is certainly one of them.

I’ve been working with Jeorjia since middle school, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into a confident, determined, and hardworking young woman.

When I think of Jeorjia, I don’t just think about grades and assignments. I think about fighting her sister over Scrabble Jr. while being forced to call each other “Cup-Cake,” recording science videos with a sore throat, spilling 7-Eleven slushies everywhere, always showing up with Subway and Dr Pepper, or Wendy’s lemonade, attending our Summer Science Stars and group D&D programs, and bringing her unique energy into every room she entered.

I think about late-night Career Center study sessions that stretched past three hours, falling asleep after long math sessions, and dancing around the room after finally conquering a difficult concept.

Today, all of that hard work led to graduation from Western High School.

Earlier this year, Jeorjia was also accepted to Albion College. When she shared the news, she told me:

“If it wasn’t for your help in 7th grade up to my junior year, I don’t think I would’ve made it.”

My response then is the same as it is now:

“It wasn’t me who did it. I just showed you it was possible.” ❤️🎓

Jeorjia, congratulations on your graduation and your acceptance to Albion College. Thank you for the years of memories, laughter, hard work, and determination. I am incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished and excited to see where life takes you next.

Four years ago, Isabella walked into PAT Tutoring beginning her journey through high school, AP Chemistry, and advanced coursework.

About two years ago, Jack came in tackling AP-level math and science courses as he worked toward graduation.

Tonight, I got to watch both of them graduate from Lumen Christi.

Moments like this are why PAT Tutoring exists.

The grades and test scores matter, but the greatest part of this work is watching students grow in confidence, maturity, and belief in themselves over the years. Seeing the transition from first-day photos and study sessions to caps and gowns never gets old.

I was also sad to miss one of my own greatest inspirations tonight, my former math mentor and Lumen Christi teacher, Mrs. Rooney. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students helped inspire me to continue doing the work I do today, and I’ll always be grateful for that influence.

Over the years, Isabella’s family has also treated me like part of their own, and that sense of community is something I never take for granted. One of the greatest blessings of this work is the relationships built along the way.

I’m incredibly proud of Isabella, Jack, and all of the Class of 2026 graduates. Thank you to the families who trust PAT Tutoring to be part of that journey. ❤️
