Welcome to the Uncommon Artist Residency at . Join us for a free artist talk on Tuesday April 21 at 7:30pm at the Anvil Hotel. Cathy McClure (b. Abilene, TX) is a Seattle based, antidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of metalsmithing, mechanical engineering, and optical phenomena. Her career is marked by solo exhibitions at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Bellevue Arts Museum, with representation by Neuhoff/Edelman and Murray Moss leading to exhibitions at the Nassau County Museum and Art Basel Miami Beach.

Welcome Maria Lux to the Uncommon Artist Residency at the from March 18-25. Join us for an Artist Talk on March 24 at 5:30pm at the Cache House (located at the Anvil Hotel). Maria Lux (b. 1984, Ames, Iowa, United States) earned her BFA from Iowa State University in 2006 and her MFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012. Lux is a member of Carnation Contemporary, an artist-run gallery space in Portland, Oregon. She is currently an Associate Professor of Art at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.
