Job Description

We are an all-organic gluten-free restaurant. We do things unconventionally here at Cultivate and our integrity lies in our ingredients. We are also soy-free, corn-free, refined sugar-free, and only use avocado and coconut oils. All our recipes are plant-based, but we do serve meat, egg, and cheese products. We source as many local products as we can to keep a strong connection with our community..
We are seeking Line Cooks to join our team. Your role will be to prepare delicious meals for our customers. You should be able to take direction with ease and ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner with confidence, calmness, and urgency..
As a member of the Kitchen staff department, you will work with Line cooks, bakers, dishwashers, and prep cooks and report to our Sous chef or Executive Chef/Owner.
What You Will Do:
Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
Cook food in a timely manner
Take direction from lead cooks
perform daily cleaning side work
Ensure appealing plate presentation
Prep foods for the line and for all menu items
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests
Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Excellent time management abilities
Strong organizational skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work well under stress
What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
Food Handling
Food Plating
Food Preparation
Portion Control
Sautéing
Vegetable chopping

We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus, and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.

Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests
Monitor food stock and place orders
Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Weekly ordering of products and inventory
Skills
Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
Leadership skills
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Excellent time management abilities
Familiarity with sanitation regulations
