The Dew

Frost forms at negative temperatures. The air temperature to which the air must cool at a given moisture content in order for the water v***r to reach saturation is called the dew point.

Particularly strong formation of dew occurs in tropical regions, where the air in the surface layer contains a lot of water v***r and thanks to the intense nighttime thermal radiation of the earth, it cools significantly.

In desert regions, dew is an important source of moisture for vegetation. A fairly strong cooling of the lower layers of the air occurs when, after sunset, the surface of the Earth is rapidly cooled by thermal radiation. Favorable conditions for this are a clear sky and a surface covering that easily gives off heat, such as grass.

Why does dew fall early in the morning?
At night, the temperature drops sharply, moisture rises above the ground and condenses in the form of water droplets.

When is there dew?
When the humidity is sufficient for the v***r to become saturated, water will begin to condense on any object slightly below ambient temperature. This is the dew that appears on the cold ground, grass, during the active ev***ration of water, which leads to a state of saturated steam

How and why does dew occur?
Cold air cannot hold much water v***r, so the water v***r in the air around the cooled objects condenses, forming tiny water droplets - dew. The temperature at which dew forms is called the dew point.

What is the cause of dew?
Dew — small drops of water formed on the Earth's surface and objects as a result of condensation under cooling conditions during nighttime effective radiation.
